Officers took a wanted woman into custody at Speedway after investigating a report of a suspicious person just after 6 pm.
Police discovered Glenda Murphy had open warrants for escape and probation violations.
Murphy was released on parole for attempted robbery, escape, and illegal conveyance into a detention facility charges back in February.

Police arrested her last month for parole violation, but she was almost immediately released. An escape charge was filed in Portsmouth Municipal Court on July 2.
