The Ohio State Patrol says an out-of-control car crossed the center line and crashed into a car driven by a 53-year-old Beaver, Ohio, woman late Tuesday evening on St. Rt. 220 in Pike County.
Troopers from the Portsmouth Post responded to the incident at 11 pm. They said Anthony Hobbs, 52, from Colombus, drove off the right side of the road, lost control, then went left of center and crashed head-on into a car driven by a 53-year-old woman.
Hobbs died at the scene. Medics from the Seal Township Fire Department transported the woman to Adena-Pike Medical Center and later transferred her to Grant Hospital in Columbus.
The Ohio State Patrol is still investigating the accident.
