Nowhere is off limits for Portsmouth thieves, including a building designed to help disadvantaged kids.
Maintenance at Highland Head Start contacted officers to report a theft overnight at the school. They said crooks made off with multiple gas cans and several batteries.
The school had a video showing the crooks hitting the building around 1 am. A man and woman managed to break the latch and get onto the property before taking off with the items. Fortunately, their haul wasn’t worth very much.
PMHA maintenance called 911 at 1 pm to report someone cut the copper wiring out of a house on Jackson Avenue and also made off wit the water lines.
Another thief was caught on video at PNC Bank. The bank called 911 to show officers video of a man stealing an employee’s purse. Officers took information for a report.
