Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies were asked to perform a welfare check after a man turned up at Atomic Bank with a bloody head.
He was acting strangely and made statements about his mother passing away. Officers caught up with the man at a nearby gas station and said he was acting erratically. Deputies headed to the mother’s home to check on her, but there was no answer at the home.
Officers noted there was snow covering the ground where her car usually parks. The police report did not indicate if the man was transported for treatment. The report also did not mention any follow up visits to the home to verify the man’s story.
