Not encyclopedias, insurance, or magazines. There’s a new breed of door-to-door salesman.
Witnesses called 911 at 9:30 pm to report some suspicious behavior at the homeless shelter. They said a man in a dark plaid jacket came into the shelter and asked if anyone there wanted to buy meth from him.
Witnesses said the man took off running in the direction of Shawnee Mental Health and then ran down an alley.
Officers patrolled the area but weren’t able to find the guy.
Woman Overdoses at Party
A worried aunt called 911 for help, saying that some boys had given her niece something at a party and then given her a ride home. She said the niece seemed to be out of it and could be overdosing.
Medics transported the niece to the hospital, and officers followed up with her to take her statement. Once she was treated with Narcan, she told officers she’d smoked crack and done cocaine at a party in New Boston but didn’t remember what had happened afterward.
Officers learned a friend had carried her from the house in New Boston, taken her to a Gallia Street address, and called 911.
