It was a wild foot chase in the dark as police from New Boston and Portsmouth scrambled to track down a mystery man who bolted through alleyways, over fence lines, and even through a creek!
THE CHASE BEGINS!
Around 10 p.m., New Boston Police called for backup in the 4200 block of Gallia as officers took off after a male suspect dressed in all black. Portsmouth Police rushed in with four units, but the man was already on the move.
WHERE DID HE GO?
Dispatch advised officers to check near Cedar Street Church, while another report claimed he was north on Harrisonville near a funeral home. Just as officers closed in, another sighting had the suspect running east—IN A CREEK!
GONE WITHOUT A TRACE!
Despite the best efforts of multiple officers, the suspect disappeared into the woods. Cops searched high and low, but by morning, there were no new arrests linked to the chase.
STILL OUT THERE?
No one knows how long he can stay hidden in the wilderness, but one thing is clear—he gave police a run for their money! If he’s out there, it won’t be long before the law catches up.
