Scioto County sheriff’s deputies were called to the Stag Bar on U.S. 23 around 11 p.m. for a report of an active fight involving people armed with pool cues.
By the time deputies arrived, the fight was over.
However, deputies requested an ambulance to check out a victim from the altercation.
The other person involved had already left the scene, and the victim did not know their name.
Deputies took information for a report.
No arrest was reported.
Pool cues may start out as bar equipment, but once they are used in a fight, they can quickly turn a drunken argument into a serious assault. Even if the other person leaves before law enforcement arrives, officers can still document the injuries, gather witness information, and continue the investigation if more details become available.
