Catalytic Converter Thieves Tried to Shoot Me! They Shot My Cat! I Know Their Names.

I have a story that you may be interested in. I’m not sure that the Sheriff’s Office is going to do anything to help me. I have a property in Franklin Furnace. There has been a recent rash of converter thefts. I know exactly who’s doing it!

We caught one of them with my van jacked up trying to cut the converter off 2 weeks ago. My mother-in-law sent me a video last week where someone had my zero-turn lawn mower pulled it down to the road as if they were getting ready to back in and steal it.

My friend died of COVID last week and I came down to go to the Portsmouth Skatepark event Saturday morning for him. Friday night we decided to stop in when we got to Scioto County and check on our property.

When we pulled up we realized our cars were sitting on blocks. Someone had taken the wheels, batteries, and converters off of both our vehicles. Then we noticed that the doors had been kicked in. When my husband walked up to the house to go inside someone ran out the front door.

I went to their home which is directly next door to my vacant property. They’ve been coming over to my vacant property so much and stealing things that they’ve made a beaten-down path between the homes. I knocked on their door and they tried to shoot me!

The police department came out cleared the house made sure no one was inside, spoke to the neighbors, and left. They even had the air conditioner out of my home in their front yard stripping it when the police got there I showed it to them.

This kid tried to shoot me! We are trying to get a hold of the department and see what investigator was assigned to my case and what they have to say.

This was in Cooney Hollow off Poplar Fork in Franklin Furnace / Wheelersburg but South Webster School District. When the guy ran out of the house he dropped his hat inside the house and then he laid down in the ditch where he lost his headlamp and work gloves that he was using to see at night to take the copper wiring and Plumbing out of the walls of my home.

Here is the hat that was left behind and the suspect wearing it in a Facebook profile picture.

His name is Michael Weeks. He’s the one that tried to shoot me. His father owns a construction company and he is employed there. I spoke to his father and he doesn’t want to hear of any of the things that his son is doing. But he’s taking him to clients’ houses on jobs. Who knows when this kid is gonna try to break into one of these homes that his father has taken him to work on out in Scioto County?

Here’s a screenshot of what the father had to say about the situation.

MOM SAYS TODDLER WAS ASSAULTED — BUT COPS WON’T HELP

The issue is this kid tried to shoot me! I want something done because I’m probably out around $10,000 worth of my belongings. He had things lined up at the door ready to take like portable heaters, and printers that were brand new he had taken out of the boxes. He took my weed eaters lawn mower and everything.

The other two I suspect are Brian Bowling and Richie Deerfield who are also working for a local construction company.

We caught Brian Bowling with my car jacked up two weeks ago. My mother-in-law’s nurse’s aide was taking the trash out and caught him. She ran him off and took his jack out from under my van. The next day my cat was shot in the yard. We had that cat for 12 years but the day after he was caught, someone shot my cat. That’s no coincidence.

I think they’re casing people’s houses while they’re working for the dad’s company. Everyone should be concerned. Heck, they could even be putting in faulty locks or something or unlocking windows for later.

Thank you so much for your time and interest. I need help!

*Publisher’s Note: The sheriff’s office has confirmed that this is now an active investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Jackson.
