1 Man Attacks With Sword & Broom
Just before 11 am, a 5th Street caller reported a man hit her with a broom and then came out with a sword.
When police arrived at the scene, they took a man into custody.
2 Wrong Way Driver on Gallia Street
At 1:19 am, officers responded to reports of a vehicle going the wrong way in the 2400 block of Gallia.
When officers responded to the scene, they learned the driver had recently driven herself to the emergency room and somehow managed to get turned around on her way home and ended up going in the wrong direction.
Her son came to the scene to take her home in her vehicle.
3 Troubled Teen Returned Home
A caller contacted police to report a Coal Grove teenager in trouble at a Charles Street residence. They said a man had kicked the child out of the residence, she didn’t have a phone, and could not contact anyone for help.
PPD contacted the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, which attempted to contact the mother. Officers transported the teen home to Coal Grove.
