Portsmouth police were called to Little Caesar’s after a report that a man with no shirt and no shoes was trying to get into the drive-thru window.
The call came in around 5:30 a.m.
The caller described the man as wearing green gym shorts and said he was trying to get inside through the drive-thru area.
Officers located him nearby in the Save A Lot parking lot.
Police placed the man in the back of a cruiser and took him safely back to his grandparents’ apartment on Waller Street.
No arrest was reported.
Early-morning business calls can go a lot of ways, but “shirtless, shoeless, and trying the pizza drive-thru window” is one that will get attention fast.
In this case, officers checked on the man, got him out of the area, and made sure he got home safely.
